I spent the past weekend LARPing at a NERO event--and it was a real blast. It's funny how much I can enjoy a silly thing like Live Action Role-Playing, but then...maybe it's the simple fact that I get to speak in funny accents in a costume, and no one makes fun of me for it. XD

That leads me to add that you should never let someone dampen who you are. If they do not accept you for who you are and love you for it--and aren't making you a better person by doing so--they're not your friend.

Be happy with your geeky aspects and find the people who love you for them.
