For a reason unknown to me, other than sheer curiousity, I spent the $10 to rent both Twilight and New Moon at Blockbuster. I have to admit...I've read all the books, and I faguely enjoyed them (that is, until I got to the last book and despised the ending), but I've never really counted myself as a "fan." The merchandise makes me do something inbetween gag and chuckle.

So, sitting down with a microwavable dish, I spent my Saturday evening watching these "great phenomena." My judgment? Absolute crap.

The Twilight Saga is an embarrassment to women. An absolute EMBARRASSMENT. I suppose I realized this even in Meyer's writing, but on screen Bella's pathetic attempt at acting only made it worse. BEGGING for a man to come back. FALLING APART without him. It's disgusting. Not to mention the way Bella treats Jacob when she gets her man back. Ugh. Repulsive.

The only thing Twilight does is teach young girls to love an unrealistic pedophile and take whatever crap he gives you. *shudder*

Okay. My rant aside, as I know everyone has already heard it somewhere before, I bring you page 53! I was playing with some new background techniques, and I kinda like it. Let me know what you think. =) For more ranting or a chance to share your thoughts, join the forums! Do it!!!!
